Excel spreadsheet cladogram
I study classification of life as a hobby. The best way to keep notes has been using Excel. Instead of drawing a tree as we usually do for classification, I make spreadsheets of evolutionary relations between species. Professional software are over-performing for me: I don't need to compute the statistically most plausible phylogenetic tree, I need to draw, erase, color and take notes on neatly organised stuff. That's why Excel is perfect. Most of my trees are false or slightly arranged to meet my needs (as any model is, obviously). For example, I use a mixture of monophyletic clades and and non-monophyletic groups commonly used my amateur naturalists. Please, make yourself at home in my spreadsheet garden.
