pregnancy week 12
Current stage of pregnancy: week 12 GA; week 10 FA; 12,5 cigarettes since the beginning of pregnancy
Baby update✴
We're almost done with week 12. I think I finally have a bump. The fold between the belly and pubis area is filling up, my lower abdomen is kind of pointing out. It's finally time to buy some new clothes. I couldn't find pregnancy clothes without lace, stupid shit written in the front, cleavage or shitty fabric. I'm just sizing up in the my men's clothes alley for now, it'll do. I can't believe how poor quality women's clothes are in general (actually I can, I studied exactly that in a previous life).
My mother checked on me via text and I cried. It felt genuine for the first time in years. During the last decade, she tried hard but she coudn't really connect with my adult lifestyle: art school, me being trans or not getting a job... it felt like we drifted further and further away everyday. Now we talked about my pregnancy and her menopause, I feel close to her again. I'm so grateful I got to reconnect with my mom, I missed our genuine conversations so much.
I'm still debating what to get for the baby. Do we really need a bathtub seat? We decided we really needed a kitchen table, we don't want to teach our child to eat on the sofa everyday. I also think I need to manage my screen addiction now. Smoking got better too, I only had half a cig in 8 days. For a total of 12.5 cigarettes since the beginning of the pregnancy. We found a new midwife on Doctolib but it had no means to contact her. We put a letter in her mailbox, just to give her some insights and warn her that she'll meet with a pregnant man in the waiting room. She replied with a nice e-mail, stating I'm welcome in her cabinet and she appreciated the letter.
Did I mention I have a bump?
P.S.: I love getting mail!
